Tribute Media, a Treasure Valley web design and marketing agency, has recently brought in a new intern to the development department. Taye Markwell is a high school student who was looking for an opportunity to gain experience in the web design and development industry and found the perfect opportunity in Tribute Media. In return, the Tribute team is thrilled to have such a smart, eager-to-learn young person to get us coffee!
In all seriousness, Taye will be an asset to our growing company. While he has started off by helping manage our servers, he will also assist our seasoned developers with building websites and handling support tickets
Tribute Media is proud to be a part of grooming student interns for future success in the tech workforce. As Tribute Media Art Director, Don Elliott put it, “At this rate, [Taye will] be a fabulously wealthy CEO of some major internet company. Kids these days... I tell ya."
When Taye isn’t geeking out on servers—which he was already doing at home long before he joined us at Tribute—he enjoys another nerd fare, programming microcontrollers (I don’t know; Google it). Additionally, new to hiking, Taye plans to enjoy the great Idaho outdoors when we aren’t working him too hard this summer.
“I think this will be such a great learning experience; not just for the web development aspect, but also to learn more about business and working with others. Not bad for a first real job!” says Taye.
Lindsey is the director of web strategy at Tribute Media and holds a B.A. in English and Communication with an emphasis in Journalism.
Outside of work, Lindsey participates in a "super-cool-not-at-all-nerdy" writing group. Her favorite writer is Dorothy Parker.
