How to Keep in Touch With Customers

There are many ways of keeping in contact with your customers through technology. It doesn’t take a genius to realize that the more times you connect with your customers, the more likely they are to remember you and choose your company's product and/or services over a competitor.

In marketing, the official term is called ‘touches’ – it is how many times your customers have to see/interact with your company before they purchase a product or service from you. 

The problem is, a single marketing touch is usually never enough. In fact, studies have shown that it takes at least 7 or more touches to generate a customer’s interest. Then lead nurturing follows, and this is an entirely different ball game. 

So, how do you make sure you interact with a potential customer in an engaging way and often enough so that your company becomes memorable without spending a fortune? 

Utilize Online Marketing Tactics

Email Marketing

One great (nearly free) way of interacting with your customers is to send out a monthly newsletter. Start this process by building a list of people who opt-in to receiving email updates from you. (Don't skip this important part of the process, as it protects you from negative consequences.) 

The content could include information on a new product or service you’re offering or a new promotion you’re running. The possibilities are endless, just make sure to write it in a way that your customers will actually want to read it. Maybe try to do some A/B testing to hone in on what your leads respond to.

Social Networking 

Another way to interact with your customers is to set up your company on social networking sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. These enable you to keep your leads engaged and get your brand in front of them on multiple platforms. The services are offered free of charge, all you have to do is manage them (or hire our awesome team)! 

Landing pages and Calls-to-action

A great way to draw people to your site is to offer them something they can't resist. For example, on our Tribute Media website, we offer a free web marketing audit (as seen below).

The only thing better than implementing ONE of these ways to "touch" your leads is to implement all of them. This can be done through inbound marketing. Don't settle for less than what you are capable of. Push your company to new heights!
