HubSpot Social Blog
This blog was originally written in March 2015 but has been updated to include more up-to-date and relevant content.

As a HubSpot partner agency, all of us at Tribute Media spend quite a bit of time using HubSpot’s tools. Although we might be biased, we’ve tried a lot of other marketing tools, and HubSpot continues to be one of our favorites.

One of the best features of HubSpot’s robust software is its social media tool. We’ve found so much value in HubSpot’s Social Media Management Software, and we’ve used other tools like Hootsuite, Sendible, AgoraPulse, and Buffer, to name a few.

What makes us love HubSpot so much? Here are the top four reasons we prefer HubSpot’s social media tool

Simple social media scheduling

Scheduling your social media posts has never been easier. Whether you’re scheduling out content for the week, month, or more, HubSpot’s social tool is simple to use. After connecting your Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and/or Twitter accounts, you’ll be able to optimize posts for each platform without having to schedule them separately.

It’s easy to share engaging content by adding emojis, photos, graphics, and videos, or pull content straight from your blog or website. Set up default times to post based on when your audience is most active

You can also conveniently preview what your content will look like once posted on each platform, get a quick overview of post performance, and connect your content to specific campaigns.

Efficient social media engagement

It’s important to stay on top of engagement on your profiles, especially comments, mentions, and shares, and you can do all of that right in HubSpot.

In HubSpot’s social monitoring tool, you can:

  • Respond to comments and other engagement with your posts

  • Monitor mentions of your brand

  • Keep up with your customers on social media

  • See new Twitter followers

  • Create competitor streams to monitor the competition

  • Set up keyword monitoring streams

  • Create other custom Twitter streams

  • Stay on top of trending topics

  • Find other relevant content to engage with

insightful social media reporting

You need to be reviewing the performance of your content in order to improve your strategy. HubSpot’s social media reporting feature is one of our favorites because its clean dashboard gives you an instant overview of your performance on social media.

Some of the insights you can analyze in the reporting tool include:

  • Audience growth
  • Impressions
  • Engagement (interactions, clicks)
  • Website sessions from social media
  • New contacts created from social media
  • Top-performing posts

Utilize the date range feature to compare date ranges, or try out their new ”compare social posts” tool to see the performance of your top posts side by side. You can also drill down by specific platforms to get more granular insights.

seamless integration with other marketing efforts

What makes HubSpot stand out is its ability to connect all your marketing and sales efforts. By using the campaigns feature, you’re able to measure performance across all tactics, including social media, search engine optimization, ads, blogs, and more.

In HubSpot, you’re able to see more than just the reach and engagement of your social media content. You can also track website visits, new leads, and other business activities from social media. Social media interactions even get linked to real people in your HubSpot database, providing deeper context.

By connecting social media with the rest of your efforts, you can better demonstrate Return on Investment (ROI) and prove the importance of investing in social media.

🌟 Bonus: You can also efficiently monitor the performance of your Facebook and/or LinkedIn ads using HubSpot’s Ads tool.

As a note, HubSpot’s social media tool is a part of their “Marketing Hub” and is included in the Professional and Enterprise plans.

Now you see why we’re such big HubSpot fans. We hope this got you excited to try out HubSpot’s social media tool for your marketing efforts.
